Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is the Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thailand fighter as well as mixed martial artist who is currently fighting within the flyweight section of the UFC. She is the elder sister of her fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her fighting sports career as a Muay Thai boxer. She debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko did well in the competition and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals by a the unanimous vote. Antonina received a gold medal in 2007, a silver medal in 2008, a silver in 2007, a medal of bronze in 2008, and she won a gold medal in 2011. She was also crowned IFMA Amateur Muaythai World Champions in 2016. Antonia was first introduced to the professional world in 2003. She was the winner of the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships 2012 and the Lightweight Lion Fight World Championships 2016 and both the WMC World Championships and the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's final fight was with Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina Shychenko's professional MMA debut was made in 2002, in the KFK Cup event of Kyrgystan where she was matched against Anara Bayanova. She managed to take home in the second round of a TKO fight and her subsequent two games at the WXF: X-Impact World Championships which resulted in her having a record of 3-0. Shevchenko stopped for a few minutes from MMA and focused on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 when she fought Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa with a unanimous vote, followed by a win over Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She quit the promotion and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina used her superior punching ability and striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch by knees on the body. In the aftermath of this fight, Antonina signed an UFC deal. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko fell to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision after she won her first bout. Antonina returned from her loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the fight of the night reward for the bout. Shevchenko was defeated by Katlyn Cookagian but was able to defeat Ariane Lipski in her subsequent three bouts. Recently Antonina fell to Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos in a fight with.
