Aurora

Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. She was born in Stavanger on the 15th of June 1996. She is professionally referred to as Aurora. Her name can also be stylized in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th of 2015 and received great reviews from both music bloggers and the media. Half the World Away from the band Oasis was recorded to accompany an advertisement for John Lewis, and Nature Boy is a Nat King Cole cover. Katy Perry posted a video where she was announcing her endorsement of Runaway. The endorsement earned her some recognition. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memories involve finding a tiny piano hidden in the basement and becoming enthralled by the sounds it created. Parents May-Britt along with Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to study music, not for a career or hobby but for growth. She began writing lyrics of her own. She has cited renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in her influences, along with an affinity for Bjork's style. Her mom encouraged her to play her music in front of the public, but not to be famous, but in order to show others the importance of their work and what they can do for humanity. When she was six, she began to play the piano, and when she was nine, started writing songs. Her family didn't know about this until she turned 14. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. The only thing she loves is writing songs. For her, the music she writes is how she feels about any thing.
