Kim Delaney, an American actress best known as detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue series, for which she received the Emmy Award. In addition, she was a part of series like All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Delaney was the only daughter of the United Auto Workers executive and his wife, a housewife. Her childhood was spent in a family that included four brothers. When she was a little girl, Delaney hoped to be a court-reporter. But in highschool her modeling career began when she was able to model commercials, she moved to New York. Her first acting job was as a teenage innocent as a child in All My Children, a soap-opera from 1981. Delaney an actress in her early years in the 80s, has been featured in several films TV movies and in dramas. Contrary to her impressive professional career, Delaney's personal one is not as successful and happy. She has also experienced two unsuccessful marriages and struggled with addiction issues. In 2005 her custody was removed from her.
